December

I don't know if it's the season or what but when that wonderful month of december rolls around I get two conflicting emotions and sometimes almost at the same time. Peace and annoyance! The peace and joy comes with the softly falling snow out my window, sitting in a nice warm and cozy home. The annoyance is the falling snow that will impede my travel and ice that comes with the snow! As well as the chilly cold that sets in once the door is opened!
I do love the feeling of the holiday spirit that normally has everyone in it's grasp. And the excitement of Yule time carols and shopping for loved ones. It's a truely magical time of the year.

Grandma

Gail F. Kasper
My Grandma. She was a wonderful woman and one of my heros. She lived an amazing life and had so many interesting, funny and crazy stories to tell. She was there when I was born and when my son was born...she was literally there, not in another room, no, right beside me when I had my son and right beside my Mom when I was born. Mom, Gram and I all refered to each other as the 3 muskateers....and we were. We had a bond that was pure magic and full of love. Gram taught me so many things in life. She always said she loved me and was proud of me, even if I did make her mad at times~ She was such an awesome Grandma to me and so many others. I couldn't have asked for a better Grandma than her. I was very proud to share my son with her. She was a great Grandma but an even better Great Grandma! She was a true angel to me.
Gram you will be so so missed. I love you.

Easter 2010

The Easter bunny came a day early this year.
Christian and I went on two egg hunts! The first was at his Nena's and Papa's church lawn...there was so many kids there! Thousands of empty eggs on the lawn...the kids picked up as many eggs as they could then went and got a number and then got the candy. Kiddo did great. He also went to his Gram's church for a "real" hunt...meaning the eggs here indeed real and you actually had to hunt for them. He got gobs full of sweet candy and cooked eggs. All in all he had a great hunt. The Easter bunny also stopped by his Nena's house. Christian loved his two new sets of Thomas the Train tracks, that are now all over my living room floor. In addition to the tracks he got four new hot wheels cars and a Spidy pale and you guessed it,. more candy. The weather was great and Kiddo had a blast!

New Year's Resolutions

My New Year's Resolutions.

1.) Lose 50 lbs by August and keep it off!

2.) Start College and stay in college

3.) visit friends in Alaska and Florida.

I need to find myself agian. After finally getting my divorce I'm a bit lost. I'm gaining self-confindence in the fact that I know I can make it on my own and without a man there to pick me up. I think college will help in that respect as well. We'll see. I'm not interested in finding my "prince charming" right now...right now I have bigger and better things on my plate to do. My first proirity is of course, my son and his education and well being...he's going great! I am truly blessed to have him in my life. I'm also very blessed to have my family and supporting friends by my side too!
Now let's see if the new year's goals are met!
Wish me luck!
